SANTIAGO COLOMBO

Artista visual y audiovisual. Su trabajo se enfoca en la filosofía del tiempo, la memoria de los objetos, las cualidades materiales, las huellas, el caos y la temporalidad como material plástico. Explora los límites de las técnicas y medios del vídeo y la animación, así como la confluencia entre lo digital y lo mecánico; las propiedades hápticas de las esculturas y la relación entre la etereidad de lo digital, la CGI y el territorio.
Nació en La Plata y reside en Madrid. Expuso su obra en el Museo Artium (Vitoria Gasteiz); Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante; Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Bogotá; Next Museum (Alemania); Paadman [Teherán], Museo de Arte Contemporáneo del País Vasco; Casa de México en España; Festival Internacional de Cine de París; CC Matadero, Alcalá 31 y Proyector (Madrid); Fantoche Animation Festival (Suiza); BAFICI, Bienal de Imagen en Movimiento, Bienal de Arte Joven, Institulo Di tella, Palais de Glace y Casa Nacional del Bicentenario (CABA), The Living Gallery y Light Matter Film Festival (Nueva York), entre otros lugares.
Obtuvo el Primer Premio Escultura en 111° Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales (2023); Primer Premio Salón Provincial de Artes Visuales (MPBA Emilio Pettoruti) y Primera Mención del Premio Argentino a las Artes Visuales de Fundación OSDE (2021), entre otras distinciones.

Visual and audiovisual artist. Her work focuses on the philosophy of time, the memory of objects, material qualities, traces, chaos and temporality as an artistic medium. He explores the limits of video and animation techniques and media, as well as the convergence between the digital and the mechanical; the haptic properties of sculptures; and the relationship between the ethereality of the digital, CGI and the physical environment.
He was born in La Plata and lives in Madrid. He has exhibited his work at the Artium Museum (Vitoria-Gasteiz); the Alicante Museum of Contemporary Art; the Bogotá Museum of Contemporary Art; the Next Museum (Germany); Paadman [Tehran]; the Basque Country Museum of Contemporary Art; Casa de México in Spain; the Paris International Film Festival; CC Matadero, Alcalá 31 and Proyector (Madrid); the Fantoche Animation Festival (Switzerland); BAFICI, the Biennial of Moving Images, the Young Artists’ Biennial, the Instituto Di Tella, the Palais de Glace and the Casa Nacional del Bicentenario (CABA), The Living Gallery and the Light Matter Film Festival (New York), amongst other venues.
He won First Prize for Sculpture at the 111th Salón Nacional de Artes Visuales (2023); First Prize at the Salón Provincial de Artes Visuales (MPBA Emilio Pettoruti) and First Honourable Mention at the Premio Argentino a las Artes Visuales de Fundación OSDE (2021), among other honours.
